吳芊頤〈條通窗景詩〉

▲ 文化現象一直是我關注的議題,台灣的現象受到國內外不同文化的影響,我的作品透過介⼊一種常⾒的⽇常狀態中,運⽤視覺樣態的各種符號,以同樣的狀態模式回應現實狀態本⾝的問題。
駐村的地理位置附近,存在日本條通⽂化與老房⼦,其特殊的氛圍使鐵窗花擁有區域性的神秘⾊彩,實地走訪搜集巷弄裡的環境元素,作為創作來源。展場中的作品,你會發現是一個觀察者由外觀內的窗景視角,透過色塊的層疊拼貼與手繪鐵窗花符號,建構我們記憶與印象中的窗景,作品裡也存在日式與台式文化的交織,例如:八卦鏡與山海鎮。而現地製作拼貼在200公分的正方形透明玻璃上,發想來自於條通的棋盤狀道路設計,我將它融合在台灣鐵窗花的線條中,形成一立體空間裝置,因為時間,空間與光線的不同,產生不同的視覺效果,實景與虛景,內與外的關係,帶有時代感的紀錄。

▲ Cultural phenomena is always what I concern. Taiwanese culture is influenced by local and foreign cultures. So my works serve as an intervention to ordinary things we are used to, and I tend to apply multiple symbols extracted from real things to echo the real issues of our time.
I choose window lattice as the major subject by the surrounding area of Taipei artist village. There are the culture of earlier Japanese street and the old style houses that both entitle the window lattice to exercise its mysterious charm as the representative visual style of the region. My works take the environmental elements of this region. And what I want to develop from the artistic practice is the interpretation of the visual symbols of the region.
Before I started doing Window Lattice series, I visited every local towns in Taiwan to take photos of window lattice and to know the unique style of our culture. My window lattice is not the loyal depiction of the real subject but a result of selection and re-composition to feature the local culture and to differ one from the another.
