出生於臺灣臺中，畢業於國立臺南藝術大學造形藝術研究所。擅長運用和紙膠帶創作，拼貼出各式日常風景與時代樣貌。作品內容關注台灣當下的社會現象，自2011年的網購消費文化，到近期有關集體記憶的黑鐵鐵窗花，將這些視覺符號重新編碼，透過膠帶創作，再造新的意義。
Artist Wu Chien Yi was born in Taichung, Taiwan and graduated from the Graduate Institute of Plastic Arts, Tainan National University of the Arts. She specializes in making paper tape collages featuring landscapes of everyday life and images of various eras. Her works usually feature social phenomena of contemporary Taiwan. From a 2011 piece on the culture of online shopping, to more recent works of decorative iron window guards, a collective memory of the people in Taiwan, Wu's creative tape work has recoded the visual symbols of everyday life and breathed new life into old memories.
